Releasing the symbol of marriage - Guided dissolution

Wow, what a journey!
Here I am sooooo full of Gratitude for all that is Given, for Erik and all that we went through together, for the Beauty and Profoundity of the undoing of the idea in a separate self!

Here is probably the last post that will happen on this blog, as Erik and I just entered to the court in CA, the papers signed for a summary dissolution, which is another way of getting a divorce, to which I was guided! Wow, how surprising you might think. What happened?

Actually how joyful is the experience I am in... Nothing happened! The marriage has served the Purpose it was intended for... awakening to our True Nature. We never knew what was in the Plan, but our vow was a marriage to God, to follow the Guidance of the Spirit and to have Awakening as primary Purpose! We knew and were real about it, that it could end any time! No different than any other marriage, except that we were very aware of it, and also that if it was the case, it wouldn't be coming from a conflict but from Guidance and Love!

Several months ago, I received the Guidance that it was time, that we were to each go our way. I could feel it coming... The biggest part of me was all for it, but I could see a subtle desire to stay in the comfort and the ease of our relationship. One day, as I was talking to a friend about it, I had this vision of Erik and I taking the step and being in such a state of Joy, that I ran in the room where he was and told him "It is time, we have to take that step! I know that at a logical level, it makes no sense, but I've seen and felt the Joy and I need to trust that. I'm a bit scared, but I feel that is the direction" and so it was. Erik wasn't full of joy at that time, but could feel something in what I was sharing. We decided together that when the time to fill any paper would come, we would both feel it and wouldn't do anything before that!

Although this was really clear in our minds, nothing really changed. As there is such a certainty in our minds, that the Love we feel for each other has nothing to do with each other and will never stop because the bodies are not together or because our seeming marital status changes. We know in such a deep way that this Love is beyond everything and is unbreakable! And that's what was revealed through our marriage... to constantly go beyond the form, to recognize the Love that never changes, that is untouched by anything.

Since that day, all the steps, as for the marriage, were Given us in perfect timing! I would even say in wondrous, miraculous ways... and there is absolutely no sense of sacrifice, or loss in any way!
If anything it is even more Love and more Joy that is present.

And for me, all the letting that occurred in these last couple of months with absolutely everything leaves nothing but Gratitude and a deeper Recognition of the I that I Am! It's shining brightly and with that comes a Certainty that what I Am is not of this world, and really that the world holds nothing that I want!

Thank You God for creating us Perfect, at your Likeness and Unchangeable!

The Life of The Buddha

Here's a great documentary we watched the other night about the life of Buddha, followed by a talk that David Hoffmeister gave ABOUT the movie. I highly recommend both if Enlightenment is a subject that interests you, as David goes into great depth about how Enlightenment can be experienced, as well as the relationship between Buddhism and A Course in Miracles.

David H. Video Hangout with Erik

I just finished editing a video from a Google Hangout this morning in which a friend and I watched a couple David Hoffmeister videos together.  We watched a video of David's called "The Highest State of Mind - I Don't Know" and a second called: "Letting Go Of The Human Condition".  After the Hangout was over, I realized that the videos we watched didn't show up in the Hangout recording as I had hoped, so I just went through and added annotated links which will take you to the videos in YouTube (you'll see what I mean when you get to those parts of the video).

David H. Discussion Hangout

UN-spiritual Hangout with Erik, Part 2

I'm learning a lot (or UN-learning a lot, to be more accurate) from doing these online Google Hangouts, and noticing where the ego still seems to have a hold on my mind.  Old beliefs about how I want to be perceived by others, or how I "should" communicate with others have been getting flushed up through these daily interactions I'm now having with other Course in Miracles students, and I'm just so very grateful for it all.  Every opportunity to notice when and how I am still "triggered" by anything that seems to happen in the world is an opportunity to go deeper into the unlearning process that leads to the Natural State of Enlightenment.

One of the primary ego defense mechanisms that has been getting flushed up for me lately is this belief in "spiritual specialness"; the idea that "I am more spiritually advanced than others" or even it's opposite: that I am LESS spiritually advanced than others. But both are merely egoic ways of perceiving which block the awareness of our Perfect Equality as innocent Children of God.

Join me for a laid-back time of simply being together, exposing our "spiritual specialness" thoughts, and giving ourselves permission to be totally "UN-spiritual" together!

The actual session ended up being quite interesting, and it actually lasted 4 hours!  The first hour was full of "lively" conversation and a good opportunity to watch the "I know" mind in action.  Gradually though, the Hangout evolved into a deeper one-on-one exploration with my friend, Blake, about how to practically apply the Course's principles to one's experience of the everyday world.

Following Guidance as a Means of Healing Unworthiness

"God's Will for me is Perfect Happiness" is a beautiful reminder from A Course in Miracles (ACIM). If taken to heart, this idea can open up our willingness to listen to and follow His Plan for our Happiness, as opposed to the ego's plan. All fear comes solely from trying to follow our ego's plans, yet the Holy Spirit is ever-present to offer us the Real Alternative. Whatever we seem to need - be it a thought, a word, or a specific action to take - it will always be Given through our willingness to hear only One Voice. Then, through following His Guidance, our belief in unworthiness is gradually washed away in the river of His Love... until ultimately, we are aware of nothing else!

Online ACIM Satsangs on Google Hangout!

You are warmly invited to join myself, Armelle, and other devoted friends for any of our upcoming "ACIM Satsang" sessions using Google Hangouts online. These sessions are a fun way for us to connect in Purpose without leaving the comfort of our bedroom or office! "Satsang" is a sanscrit word which basically means "Joining in Truth".  It is an opportunity to share from our hearts, ask questions, be open to Answers, and always to practice seeing the Innocence in one another. Authentic spiritual healing and inner Peace are the results. 

If you are new to Google Hangouts (or even if you're not), then be sure to continue reading (down below the video) for some additional info that you might find helpful.

For those of you who are new to Google Hanguts, you should know first off that there are two types of Google Hangouts. There are "regular" Google Hangouts which are like "private rooms" (up to ten people in the room at once, but the session is not broadcasted), and then there are what's called Google Hangouts "On Air". Hangouts On Air (HOA) still can only hold a maximum of 10 people in the room, but they are also broadcasted live as they are happening and then made available for viewing on YouTube afterwards.

Because I'm feeling most inspired by the idea of broadcasting the Satsangs live for the benefit of everyone, most of these ACIM Satsang sessions will be the latter type - Google Hangout On Air. If, however, you would prefer a "private" Satsang session on Google Hangouts (either with you alone, or just a small group), just email me and I will be happy to organize one of those at a time that works best for you!

In order to join the Hangout sessions, you will need to sign up for a Google+ account if you don't already have them, and then add me to one of your "circles".  Then you will start receiving the invitations in your email inbox or on your Google+ page.  Once an event has been scheduled, then I always post the link for joining the Hangout about 10 minutes prior to the start time.  I will either be posting it on the event wall, or having it sent in a private message to those of you who've responded "Yes" to the invitation.

Next thing... it's always helpful to make sure that all of your audio/video equipment (video camera, microphone, headphones/speakers) is working properly well ahead of time. That way you won't have to fuss with any of it once the Hangout has actually begun. In order to do this, sign in to your Google+ page (again, you'll have to create a new account if you don't already have one - but they are completely free) and then follow these simple instructions:

1. Look in the upper-right hand area of your Google+ webpage, and you should see a button where it says, "Start a hangout". This is what you would click to start a hangout of your own should ever decide to do so... but it also can be used solely for testing all of your computer's equipment. Click on this "Start a hangout" button now.

2. In the new window that this takes you to, you should see a few grey icons in the upper right-hand corner, the third from the left of which is one that looks like a little gear. This is the icon for "Settings". Click on this, and it will take you to a page where you can test (and, if necessary, reconfigure) your audio/visual equipment.

3. Once in the settings page, you'll see a video screen in the middle, and ideally, you should see yourself moving in the video screen already. To the right of the video screen, you'll see a few drop down menus. The top one is for the video source. If you don't see your face in the video screen, you may need to click on that first drop-down menu and choose another video source (if there are any). If for some reason, you can't get your video camera to work properly, no worries... you can still join the hangout and communicate in a purely audible way. :-)

4. Which leads us to the next thing to check, which is that your microphone is working properly! You can check this by looking on the left-side of the 2nd drop-down menu - just beside the little microphone symbol. As you start talking, notice if you can see a little green meter there which goes up and down to register the sounds you are making. If so, it's working. If not, then either your microphone isn't working, or you need to configure it differently. If this is the case, click on the drop down menu next to the microphone symbol and try choosing different sources to test which one works.

5. Last but certainly not least, check that your speakers and/or headphones are working properly so that you will be able to HEAR everything in the Hangout clearly. (Note: if you own headphones, please use them during the Hangout rather than just listening through your computer's speakers. That way, there will be less "feedback" for everyone else.) You can test your headphones/speakers by clicking on the "Play Test Sound" button just below the 3rd drop down menu. If you hear the ringing sound it produces, then your equipment is obviously working and you're good to go! Otherwise, try changing something in the third drop-down menu there.

6. Once everyone is working, click on "Save Changes" at the bottom of this page. Then you can just exit out of that screen by either closing the web window itself, or by clicking on the little symbol in the far upper-right hand corner which looks like a telephone being hung up.
